Honey Balsamic Chicken Tenders

*adapted from Budget Bytes*

1-2 packs of chicken tenders (depending on your family)

Salt & pepper

2 tablespoons of honey or agave (try to use raw/local)

1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 clove fresh minced garlic.

Season chicken tenders with salt & pepper, place into a large ziplock freezer bag and add garlic, balsamic vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Seal bag and place in your fridge to marinate for at least an hour. *I did this in the morning and let them marinate all day.*

When you are ready to cook, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a large saute pan and heat oil, next add the chicken and cook 2-3 minutes per side (until browned) then reduce heat to medium and remove chicken. Add the honey to the balsamic that is left in the pan (add 1-2 tablespoons more if needed) and let the mixture bubble, mixing well. Add the chicken back to the pan and cook for about 5 more minutes or until chicken is cooked through and well coated. Enjoy!
