Try these Baked Apricot & Sage Chicken Legs for your Memorial Day BBQ, a good alternative to burgers and hot dogs and easier to prepare than they sound and taste! This is my version of a Skinnytaste recipe that is a lightened up version of “Please Don’t Stop Chicken” from the Fifty Shades of Chicken Cookbook.
Large pack of chicken legs (Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods)
Sea salt & pepper
1/3 cup of all natural apricot preserves
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of fresh minced garlic
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
a little handful of fresh sage
Season chicken legs with salt and pepper and place them in a glass baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl and whisk well. Coat chicken and top with fresh sage. Bake in the oven at 400 for 1 hour.
