Fitness Friday: Sunshine Smoothie for Breakfast!

Most days for breakfast I have a smoothie, they are my go-to healthy and fast breakfast option. I typically always have some sort of green veggie in my morning smoothie. Although, sometimes I get sick of all the greens and need a break. I made up this smoothie recipe last week and loved it. It is a nice change from the typical green smoothie and tastes like a tropical treat, it brought me back to summer…almost 😉 This unexpected snowy morning is a great time to try this for breakfast. A smoothie is a quick and nutritious breakfast choice for those busy mornings, it is much better than grabbing a processed breakfast bar or skipping breakfast!!

Sunshine Smoothie

1 small ripe banana sliced

1/2 orange, peeled and sliced

1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks (Trader Joe’s) 

1 teaspoon of chia seeds

1/2 cup of coconut water OR LaCroix Mango flavored sparkling water

Add all ingredients, blend well and enjoy!
